I received a wonderful note in response to a letter of praise to friend and brilliant writer:

Flattery!
(dialogue alteration from 1946 American film):

A: "Don't tell me you're the type who'd fall for the sweet syrup of flattery!"

B: "Buddy--you're lookin' at a mighty dry waffle!"
