Why do you have such a problem with hatred?

I don’t; I’m very good at it.

Green Eyes?

I looked in the mirror today and noticed that my eyes were green. I was surprised; I always thought my eye were brown. Maybe I can’t tell the difference between green and brown; that wouldn’t surprise me given my chromophobia.

One-Hundred Percent Guaranteed

I’m not much of a scientist. Actually, I’m no scientist at all. But even I can spot a huge error if it’s a really huge error, like the one in today’s Los Angeles Times.

A study that tracked health and coffee consumption finds that coffee-drinkers had a lower risk of death.

That’s the kind of headline that catches my eye; I like reading synopses of studies that conclude that drinking coffee and wine are good for my health. Despite whatever benefits coffee may have, though, I’m certain that the probability of death remains the same for all people in any condition: one-hundred percent.

Gratuitous Photo of the Weak: Humanure

Tara is campaigning to have people turn their biological waste into humanure. She’s having a difficult time; most people don’t like to publicly acknowledge that they defecate.

Ya Know?

Joey Ramone née Jeffry Ross Hyman would have turned sixty-one today had he not turned dead in 2001. It’s too bad he died at a relatively young age for a number of reasons, including curatorial. Some record company recently released his “last album,” Ya Know?, but it’s not really an album at all, either literally or conceptually. It’s really just a random collection of songs of varying quality. That’s too bad; I doubt he would have allowed such an incongruent selection of his lesser work out the door.

Gabba gabba.
